The NEBOSH National Diploma is established as the most popular qualification of its kind, with over 10,000 candidates having achieved the award. The Diploma is designed for Safety Practitioners who wish to take professional qualifications. It provides core health and safety knowledge that is transferable across industry, commerce and the public sector. Combined with understanding and appropriate application, the Diploma underpins the competent performance of an Occupational Health and Safety Practitioner. The WATA approach to Diploma delivery at our training centre in Hartford, Cambridgeshire has consistently proven to deliver success in professional training for our delegates. At WATA we provide an environment designed for learning; combine this with lectures, discussion, tutorial, comprehensive course material and delegate personal support; and finally we bring all this to a tight focus on WATA Diploma Revision days; six are included in the course fee. In addition to receiving full tuition, course texts and course materials WATA delegates are assisted in their private study by a set of comprehensive course notes and online access to professional support material during their registered study time.

The NEBOSH National Diploma is a professional qualification that satisfies the academic requirements for Chartered Membership (CMIOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the recognized professional body in the field.
After successfully completing the course delegates will:
• be able to provide detailed advice for health & safety issues in line with current legislation & HSE guidance.
• be able to assist their organisation in implementing/maintaining health & safety management systems and control measures.
• have a broad range of detailed knowledge and its application of key health & safety issues.
NEBOSH Diplomas are globally recognised qualifications aimed at professional health and safety advisors and environmental practitioners.
The Diploma is a qualification that is approximately equivalent to 3rd year degree studies, level 6. Whilst there are no formal entry requirements to the Diploma, WATA believes students will find it helpful to have completed the National General Certificate first and/or have demonstrated the ability and application to study at the required level.

Diploma Full Programme
The Diploma is a qualification that is approximately equivalent to 3rd year degree studies, level 6. Whilst there are no longer entry requirements to the Diploma, WATA believes students will find it helpful to have completed the National General Certificate first and/or have demonstrated the ability and application to study at the required level.
The syllabus comprises four core units:
Unit A: Managing health and safety - Dates: 20 Mar, 2 Oct Exam: 18 Jul, 16 Jan 2018
Unit B: Hazardous agents in the workplace - Dates: 27 Mar, 9 Oct Exam: 19 Jul, 17 Jan 2018
Unit C: Workplace and work equipment safety - Dates: 3 Apr, 16 Oct Exam: 20 Jul, 18 Jan 2018
Unit D: Workplace-based Assignment
The WATA delivery of the Diploma is designed in seven modules to provide study flexibility around candidates ongoing work commitments. Three initial modules are covered in Unit A - Managing Health & Safety, whilst two further modules are presented in each of Units B (Hazardous Agents ) and Unit C (Workplace & Work Equipment).
Unit examinations of three hours duration are held each year in January and July for units A-C. To gain the NEBOSH National Diploma candidates will have to successfully complete four units. Unit D is a single workplace- based written assignment and replaces smaller assignments previously associated with each Unit A-C. The Unit D report is prepared in delegates'' own time with tutorial set-up and ongoing support from WATA tutors. To meet WATA criteria delegates are required to complete an application form.
