Courses experienced in delivering all courses in the NEBOSH portfolio and is a NEBOSH examiner and practical assessor for level three courses.
Course programme
NEBOSH Fire Safety & Risk Management Certificate
This is a broad based management training course which is designed for all levels of employers and employees. It is structured to concentrate on the management of fire as well as occupational safety and health and is seen as a suitable qualification for the safety advisor or manager who has responsibility with regards to workplace fire safety. There are no pre-entry qualifications, but the delegate must be prepared to assimilate a large amount of information with regard to fire safety and risk management and occupational health & safety in the workplace.
Course Content
This course route is programmed to be delivered over two weeks. With the examinations carried out to coincide with the 4 national FS&RM Certificate days each year.
Areas covered
The course programme follows the NEBOSH syllabus (2006) requirements and consists of 16 units :
Week One (NGC 1)
- Foundations in health and safety
- Health and Safety policy
- Organising health and safety
- Risk assessment
- Risk control
- Promoting a positive health and safety culture
- Monitoring audit and review
- Incident Investigation recording and reporting
Week Two (FC1)
- Managing Fire Safety
- Principles of fire and explosion
- Causes and prevention of fire
- Fire protection in buildings
- Safety of people in the event of a fire
- Fire risk assessment
- Module FC1 can be done as a stand alone module if you wish, however this would mean that you would only be awarded the certificate for the module and not the complete NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate, to be awarded this you must complete NGC1 and FC2 the Practical assessment module
