The Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) HASWA states that it is the legal duty of employers to ensure the health, safety and welfare at work of all their employees so far as is reasonably practical.
Selby College Business Services offers a full range of courses designed to help employers and employees meet this statutory requirement.

This programme runs 1 day a week over 13 weeks and includes a practical and a written examination. The course covers a variety of topics including risk assessment, accident prevention, preparation and review of policies and procedures, common hazards, unsafe practices and preventative measures etc. This course will benefit anyone with health and safety responsibilities to discharge more effectively their organisational duties and functions.
