Are there any pre-requisites

Not specifically with regards to qualification, however because of the level of classroom study and the additional self study hours required outside the classroom delegates are advised to have a complete understanding of health and safety matters.  To this end we require that you complete a pre-course project which must be delivered to Kawns by the first day of the course.  We also recommend that the delegate obtains a copy of An Introduction to Health and Safety at Work by Hughes and Ferret, obtained from our website.  This book will be used extensively during the course.

Is the course assessed?

The examination process for the full General certificate is as follows:

There are three parts
NGC1 Management (Two hour written paper)
NGC2 Occupational Health (Two hour written paper)
NGC3 Practical (A workplace based practical assessment)

This means there will be specific requirements for registration onto our courses. Route C courses are programmed at a time to coincide with a LOCAL examination arrangement at the end of each of the two modules.
These examinations have a cut off date for registration which must be adhered to, therefore, when considering which course to do you must have completed the registration process by this cut off date. We will of course do the registration for you.
