This subject area provides the know-how to keep computer networks safe from attacks and threats by hostile parties that could harm, subvert or usurp the interests of their legitimate owners. This MSc programme will give good honours graduates with an IT background the understanding and skills to elicit network security requirements, analyse security threats, formulate security policies, devise security regimes of mechanisms and services, deploy network security solutions and validate their effectiveness. It also aims to impart detailed understanding and knowledge of contemporary issues in network security research areas. Programme duration This full-time programme course starts in mid September and lasts one year.
