Is this course for me?
This course is for health and safety representatives who have
completed the TUC Stage 1 Intermediate course or union
equivalent.
What will I study?
This course explores healthand safety law, risk assessment and
hazards and improving the workplace. The course includes project
work and an introduction
to the internet for health and safety research.
What can I do next?
This can lead to the Occupational Health and Safety
certificate
(gaining the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health Technical
Safety Practitioner Award).
This can lead to employment in:

What are the entry requirements?

You will need to have completed the Unionlearn Health and Safety
Stage 1 course or have extensive experience as a health and safety
representative.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is by the tutor on completion of a portfolio of
evidence and a project generated during course activities. Students
meet regularly with tutors to help plan studies and discuss
progress.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
