Nikon D80 Digital SLR

Objectives This course is equally suited to those who have recently upgraded to the D80 from a Film SLR or those that have previously owned a lower-resolution DSLR. This course assumes you have some photographic knowledge and experience and that you already have at least a basic understanding of the photographic principles of exposure, aperture and shutter speeds. It aims to provide answers to the most frequently asked questions emerging after initial use of the camera and provides a fast-track way of absorbing the major points of the instruction manual. It will help you understand how and why the various controls and settings should be used or changed. Delegates attending will improve their practical knowledge and handling of the D80 controls whilst gaining an insight into the multitude of features. Content Through demonstration and practical exercises, you will become familiar with the controls and functions of the camera. Factory Default settings are explored and the rationale behind their choice is explained. You will explore the benefits of the various image quality options and their typical intended purpose. Through practical project work, you will create results using a wide range of the camera setting and options with various photographic output intentions in mind. You will be introduced to the various software programmes for transferring, viewing and editing images and will be given instruction in how to use their major tools effectively in order to achieve the highest quality results.
