The qualification is likely to be of particular relevance to staff contemplating a transition into a social care role who wants to increase their understanding before taking this step. Suitable for: The qualification is designed for non-care workers in statutory, private and voluntary care settings. Non-care workers are those staff who regularly communicate and interact with service users but who do not provide direct personal care. Examples are: receptionists, care takers, drivers, domestic staff and administrators. The minimum age for entry to this qualification is 16.

In order to gain the NCFE Level 2 Certficate for Non-Care Workers you will need to complete a portfolio on the following mandatory units.
1. COMMUNICATING EFFCTIVELY IN CARE SETTINGS
2. PROVIDING CUSTOMER SERVICE IN CARE SETTINGS
3. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS FOR WORKING AS A MEMBER OF A CARE TEAM
4. WORKING SAFELY IN CARE SETTINGS
