Non Domestic Gas

Course Objectives:

A full range of non domestic natural gas core and appliance refresher training courses in preparation for ACS assessment are available and although training is not a pre-requisite for assessment, many engineers feel that a short period of training will update their knowledge and understanding and better prepare them for their assessment.

The generic core training programme covers all the relevant criteria and by the end of their training period, engineers will have covered safety and legislation, emergency actions and procedures, pipework and fittings, unsafe situations and emergency controls.

Non domestic appliance training covers the generic objectives of tightness testing, commercial appliances and meters, characteristics of combustion, use of flue gas analysers, appliance safety devices, relighting appliances and the identification of unsafe situations.

The flueing, ventilation and the combustion characteristics of forced draught burners is covered as necessary dependent on the appliance categories selected.

Training sessions comprise a mixture of both theory and practical elements.
