Non-licensable Asbestos Removal Training

This classroom based training course is for people who carry out work with asbestos that does not require a licence, e.g. maintenance workers and their supervisors, but does not include basic awareness training. It incorporates the training requirements set out in the Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) L143, Reg 10 (Paras 129 – 131) and HSG 210 ‘Asbestos Essentials Task Manual’

AEC are a HSE training provider and have signed an Agreement to follow the training standards contained in Chapter 4 of HSG247 'Asbestos: The licensed contractors' and the Asbestos Training Providers' Working Group, Code of Conduct (CoC available at /asbestos/information.htm#licensing). The CoC requires training to be independently audited to show evidence of compliance with HSG247. AEC are an independent environmental consultant and offer a full range of training courses to suit particular needs. The new Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 was implemented by the HSE on the 13th of November 2006. These regulations do repeal the current Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002, as well as the Asbestos Licensing Regulations and Asbestos Prohibition Regulations, creating a single set of regulations, (e.g. Specific mandatory training for all trades liable to be exposed to asbestos.)
