Normalisation, Social Role Valorisation and "Ordinary Living"

This course uncovers the developing history within the field of learning disabilities, beginning with the traditional approaches in large institutions.  We then track modern history from changes initiated by NIrje in Denmark and later contributions made by Wolf Wolfensberger, leading to the O' Brian's 5 Accomplishments in the U.K.  Time will then focus on the Kings Fund development of the principles of "ordinary living"
