Novell NetWare 5.1 Advanced Administration

Overview
This five-day instructor led course is designed to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills needed to design, configure and administer a complex Netware network. The course is designed to provide students with an advanced skill set and abilities to handle more challenging network situations than were presented in the N560, NetWare 5.1 Administration course. This course is intended for network administrators or other networking professionals that provide service and support for the NetWare 5.1 environment.

Prerequisites
Before attending this course, students must have:
Completed NetWare 5 Administration course.
Delegates should also have a basic understanding of personal computers, operating systems, and network technology, as well as experience with DOS and a working knowledge of Windows 95 or Windows NT.

Module 1: Installing NetWare 5.1 and NLS, and determining which management tools to use



Module 2: Using the server console to control and manage a NetWare server



Module 3: Building a TCP/IP networking using NetWare 5.1



Module 4: Building an Internet infrastructure with NetWare 5.1



Module 5: Managing Novell Certificate Server



Module 6: Setting up a Novell Storage Service (NSS) file system



Module 7: Managing and optimising the NetWare 5.1 platform



Module 8: Maintaining Novell Directory Services (NDS)



Module 9: Migrating to IP from IPX



Module 10: Backing up a NetWare 5.1 server
