About this course

Although no formal qualifications are required, some experience within a care setting would be beneficial.Entry is by interview and you will need to take brief pre-entry tests to help ascertain your levels of literacy, numeracy and ability to cope with the demands of the course.This is course is for those who have been out of full-time education for at least three years or 5 years if you already hold SCQF level 6 or HN qualifications and who want to enter a degree programme in nursing.

This course is a good option for those interested in the Adult, Mental Health or Learning Disability branches of Nursing. It is designed to give you the knowledge, core skills and confidence to progress onto a university course to study nursing.


This course is only suitable for Adult, Mental health or Learning Disability branches of Nursing and not Midwifery or Paediatric.
