Full Time NQ Beauty Therapy

Description:
This one year full time course will provide participants with basic level skills and underpinning knowledge in a wide range of disciplines in the field of beauty therapy.

The course will provide an essential insight to theoretical and practical aspects of beauty therapy. Learners will study all aspects of the industry, specifically Anatomy | Body Massage | Nail Care | Facial Care and Depilation. The course will give the candidates the opportunity to improve their core skills profile including communication, numeracy and information technology. Learners will be given the opportunity to gain practical involvement in the industry and â€-hands on' work will feature highly in the course delivery methodology.

The College has set aside a very calm and relaxing area of its new campus to accommodate the course and it is intended that the learners will be involved in assisting with the operation of this facility as a commercial salon. There will be a twilight class included within this course.

Entry Requirements:
Candidates must have a mature attitude, excellent personal presentation, a genuine interest in a career in the beauty industry and a very positive attitude to customer care. Communications at Intermediate 2 would be an advantage. Mature learners holding no formal qualifications will be considered on an individual basis.

Qualifications & Requirements:
On successful completion of the course candidates can progress to the HND Beauty Therapy. Employment outcomes may include assisting in a spa or salon.
