What is it?

Working in the field of Beauty Therapy has become more challenging and exciting as the industry expands and incorporates new technologies. In response to enhanced awareness of health, fitness and appearance, the demand for beauty therapists is increasing, providing many diverse specialisms. Our programmes consist of separate units enabling individuals to progress at their own pace within a flexible framework.

Manicure & Pedicure; Nail Extensions; Waxing; Facial Massage & Skincare; Employment Standards; Reception; Roles & Responsibilities; Selling; Eyebrow & Eyelash Treatments; Nail art;

Pre-entry qualifications required

Students under 18, Level 1 or 3 GCSE’s grade D or above. Students over 19, experience will be taken into consideration at interview.

Due to the nature of the industry and the course, students are expected to be polite, pleasant and enthusiastic. You will have to deal with the public on a daily basis

* Due to the nature of the course students must be prepared to work on each other and have the treatments to gain competence and experience the treatment first hand. Once we are satisfied you are competent we will endeavour to find “clients” to model, as you can appreciate it may sometimes be difficult to find models for everyone therefore we encourage you to find your own models. This would usually be required during the last two days of the course.

Professional uniform is required for all practical sessions. Hair should be neat & tidy and if long, secured off the face.
