Course Aim    
 
This course is designed for tho NVQ those who want to get NVQ Qualified quickly, it is anticipated that you will achieve your NVQ in 26 weeks.    
 
Course Entry Requirements     
 
Aimed at those with little or no experience so no requirements are neccessary    
 
Course Content     
 
Units you must complete to achieve this award are as follows:    
 
ICA100 store materials    
 
ICA101 Erect and dismantle basic working platforms    
 
ICA102 Work Efficiently    
 
ICA146 Set out for tiling (wall and floor)    
 
ICA147 Prepare backgrounds for tiling    
 
ICA148 Position and fix tiles    
 
ICA149 Repair tiling    
 
Health and safety test and Gola test (job knowledge) are also included within this course.    
 
Units you must complete to achieve the NVQ2 qualification are:...    
 
VR01 Conform to general workplace safety    
 
VR02 Conform to efficient work practical    
 
VR03 Move and handle resources    
 
VR141 Prepare Backgrounds for tiling    
 
VR142 Tile wall and floor surfaces    
 
Training Method     
 
6 weeks mixture of practical and theory as distance learning at Chase Tiling Academy and then on site assessments in your workplace.

On Chase Tiling Academy

Provider description
The workshop at the academy is designed to hold a maximum of 12 students in the tiling workshop and 8 in the plumbing workshop, each being allocated their own tiling booth. This ensures an excellent Tutor to Student ratio, meaning you will get close tuition on all aspects of the course.

Our learning delivery styles ensure the course is available to all, regardless of gender, ability or previous experience.

Courses range from 1 week DIY courses through to 26 week NVQ courses. Each course is run on either a weekday or over weekends. Flexible arrangements can be made to integrate the duration of a training programme into your work / holiday schedule.

It is essential you bring suitable working clothes or overalls and steel toe cap safety shoes. All other PPE is provided by the centre and must be worn when applicable.
