NVQ 2 BRICKWORK
Entry Requirements
Must be employed as a bricklayer to enable the
collection of evidence. GCSE Minimum Grade D in both Maths and English.
Description
NVQ
in Trowel Occupations Level 2 is for either new entrants to the industry
or mature applicants working within the construction industry wishing to
become trade qualified.
Course Content

Mandatory Core
- Conform to general workplace safety

- Set out masonry structures

units (any one from the following)
- Erect masonry structures
- Lay
domestic drainage
- Health and safety multi choice test
- External
knowledge examinations
Health and Safety
All candidates taking
level 2 will need to pass a health and safety test in order to gain the
full qualification in NVQ.
Where a course is aimed towards an
assessment/examination, it is expected that all students will enter for
the qualification.
Method of Assessment
The certificate is
awarded after successful completion of all units and relevant site
assessment. Site evidence is required for all units.

Materials
Calculator, 45 and 60 set square, scale rule, pen and
pencils, compass, A4 lever arch folder and paper.
Note: if your
course runs for 2 or more years you will be required to pay a tuition fee
for each year of study.
