NVQ 2 Childrens Care Learning and Development

Course content:
This is a roll on roll off programme where competence is assessed in the workplace. Attendance at workshops is required to allow candidates to acquire knowledge evidence.

204 Use support systems to develop own practise in children†s care, learning and development.
205 Prepare and maintain environments to meet children†s needs.

Course structure:
This is a work based course and Level 2 has duration of approximately 12 months.

Assessment procedure:
Competence is assessed in the workplace


Progression opportunities:
On completion of Level 2 candidates are able to work in a supervised capacity in a setting with children from 0-16 years.
Progression to a Level 3 award allows the candidate to work unsupervised, again in a setting with children from 0-16 years.
