NVQ 2 INTERIOR SYSTEMS CEILINGS AND PARTITIONS Entry Requirements
Preferably 2 GCSE's at grade D in Maths and English. Students must be working in the Interior Systems industry.

Registration requirements
In order to obtain NVQ's within construction each candidate will be registered with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).
Description
NVQ level 2 is for either new entrants to the industry or mature applicants working within the Construction Industry wishing to become trade qualified.
Course Content
NVQ Level 2 has five units/modules plus Health and Safety and knowledge examinations.
- Store resources ready for use
- Erect and dismantle working platforms
- Contribute to efficient working practices
- Install suspended ceiling systems
- Install relocatable aluminium framed partition systems
- Remove and relocate aluminium framed partition systems

Health and Safety
All candidates taking LV2 will need to pass a health and safety test at an approved test centre in order to gain their full qualification in NVQ.

Candidates will need to compete a portfolio of evidence based upon on-site evidence and assessment.
Where a course is aimed towards an assessment/examination, it is expected that all students will enter for the qualification.
Method of Assessment
After registration you will be issued with a course assessment and evidence record book. This book is used to gather evidence of practical ability from the work place (this evidence is mandatory) in addition each unit has a written test paper.
Progression
Employment in industry.
Materials
- A comprehensive reading list can be supplied upon request. The recommended books cost approximately £60 (all books can be borrowed from the College and local libraries)
- Protective footwear is not supplied but expected to be worn whilst working within the workshops
- A4 paper, folder, common stationery and scale rule
- Constant supply of pencils
- All tools and materials are supplied

Note: if your course runs for 2 or more years you will be required to pay a tuition fee for each year of study.
