NVQ 2 PAINTING AND DECORATING Entry Requirements
Site evidence in painting and decorating.
Description
This is a two year course. It may be possible to qualify earlier depending on competence and ability. It is a basic trade skills for painting and decorating which can be upgraded to a full NVQ.
Course Content
VR01 Conform to general workplace safety
VR02 Conform to efficient work practices
VR03 Move and handle resources
VR250 Erect and dismantle access/working platforms
VR332 Prepare surfaces for painting/decorating
VR333 Apply paint systems by brush and roller
Where a course is aimed towards an assessment/examination, it is expected that all students will enter for the qualification.
Method of Assessment
Knowledge test in each unit. Continuous assessment in practical subjects. The full award is attained after successful completion of all units. There is also an external exam as well as a Health and Safety test.
Progression
ACA - NVQ Level 3 depending on employment experience.
Materials
Pens, pencils, writing materials, scale rule, calculator, overalls and a painting and decorating manual.

Note: if your course runs for 2 or more years you will be required to pay a tuition fee for each year of study.
