Additional information

This is a one year course which is often run as part of an 18 month apprenticeship. The NVQ 3 involves a work placement within the outdoor industry and if completed as part of an apprenticeship, will require the candidate to work a 5 day week. Time is allocated within those 5 days for the candidate to complete all course related work. Some candidates may have study, training and tutorial time at our Kirkley Hall campus built into their programme. Candidates can choose to do this qualification without doing it as part of an apprenticeship and a tailored and flexible programme can be offered. This would typically involve a candidate completing work experience and work-based assessment through our Kirkley Hall Outdoor Activity Centre, or through the candidates existing employer. Please speak to OE staff about this for more information.
