NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care

This qualification aims to provide recognition and accreditation for those working in the health and social care sector whose roles involve the provision of care and support to children, young people and adults in a range of contexts. This includes both within protected environments such as private care homes as well as in individual's own houses.

There are eight units of study in total, four mandatory and four optional units appropriate to your care setting.

The mandatory units are:

• Promote effective communication for and about individuals
• Promote, monitor, maintain health, safety & security in the working environment
• Reflect on and develop your practice
• Promote choice, well-being and the protection of all individuals
