Who is the programme for? The programme is suitable for school leavers and adults looking for a career change.

What will I study? These are the topics you will study: Assist with the Movement and Handling of Animals. Assist with Animal Feed. Maintain Safe and Effective Working Practices. Assist with the Care of Animals. Assist with Animal Accommodation.

Entry to the Programme?

How is it assessed? Continual assessment through observation and portfolio building.

Future prospects? The programme may provide access to a range of other programmes of study within animal care. Alternatively it may provide access to employment in the animal care industry at a junior level.

When will the programme start? September

How long will it take? One year, 13 hours per week.

What about the Money? If you are under 19 on 31st August 2009 you will not have to pay tuition or registration fees. If you are over 19 years of age

How do I apply? Complete an application form and return it to Student Services, you will then be asked to attend College for an interview.
