What I would highlight: I liked the flexibilty of undertaking the programme to fit in with my family commitments. I also found that being able to go back over material via the online study provided more focus and enabled me to refresh just those areas that i felt unsure about.

Course programme

NVQ Assessor course-level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement Qcf replaces the A1 assessor award.

NEW Assessors Award- FULL Certificate (15 credits)

Two REAL learners provided for all units required to complete your Assessor Training. If you wish to, you may complete this within your own workplace.

  • Unit 1: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (3 Credits)
  • Unit 2: Assess Occupational competance in the work environment (6 Credits)
  • Unit 3: Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding (6 Credits)

Course delivery

Upon registeration, you are given your moodle log in and the contact details of your mentor

Your mentor will contact you within 48 hours to introduce themself

You will work through a series of modules online that include activities, questions and reading.

Once completed, you will attend 2 visits with your mentor to the two candidates where you will complete workplace observation and set questions, a range of knowledge tasks and assignments. You will complete assessment planning and feedback.

During one of the visits you will be observed by your mentor and feedback will be given to you.

You will then complete further tasks and build your portfolio with the help of your mentor.

This is then submitted for verification.

Once you have completed your assessor training we then help you to find work through our partner providers and recruitment agencies.

Progression

Progression routes are then:

  • Internal verifier- Level 4 award in internal verification
  • PTTLS- Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector
  • All Bright trainees get 10% discount on our courses for life
