NVQ Care Level 2
The term NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) means the qualification has
been approved by the Qualifications Curriculum Authority, this is usually
the City and Guilds
NVQ's in Care are based on standards set by the
care sector and are recognised by employers in the UK and abroad. To gain
an NVQ in Care you will be assessed in your normal work setting performing
familiar tasks to the required standards.
Course Content
The award is structured so that a learner will
achieve six units. For learners employed in a social caresetting inspected
by Commission for Social CareInspection, learners must complete four core
units and two optional units.

Units
There are a range of optional units available depending upon work
role and work setting.
Qualification Delivery and Assessment
Your
assessor will observe you carrying out practical tasks during your normal
working hours in order that you can meet the requirements of The National
Occupational Standards.
Progression Opportunities
On completion of
this programme you will be able to progress on to NVQ Health and Social
Care Level 3if your work role is suitable.
