NVQ Childrens Care Learning & Development Level 4
Who is it for?
This Level 4 NVQ in Childrens Care and
Education is relevant for people who work with children in their early
years and with their families in a wide range of early years settings and
hold a high level of responsibility for managing or inspecting services or
the assessment and development of children.
Qualification
NVQs in Childrens Care & Development are
seen as benchmark qualifications and people holding them are increasing
demand from employers. The NVQ in Childrens Care & Development are
especially designed for people who work with children in their early years
and with their families. You may be in a wide range of childrens care
settings and work roles whether in a full or part time, paid and
voluntary, permanent or temporary capacity. You might be working in a
range of settings including nurseries, playgroups, pre-schools, day
nurseries, family centres and creches. It is vital that those who work
with babies and children should have the highest levels of skill,
training, education and experience and extensive opportunities for
continuing professional development. This qualifications prove that you
have demonstrated the skills and knowledge to work and support young
children and their familes in most aspects of their daily lives. This
award will offer you the opportunity for progression and for
acknowledgement of your growing skills and knowledge.
Mandatory units
This level 4 qualification contains 4
mandatory units and a total of 5 optional units. In order to acheive the
full NVQ you must undertake all 4 mandatory units plus 5 optional unit of
your choice, a total of 9 units. CCLD 401 Establish and develop working
relationships CCLD 402 support policies, procedures and practice to
safeguard children and ensure their inclusion and well-being. CCLD 403
Support programmes for the promotion of childrens development CCLD 404
Reflect on, review and develop own practice.

choose the most appropriate units according to your job role.
