NVQ 2 Health and Social Care Course

Programme Content:

Induction - A session that will include an explanation of the NVQ process, information on the units that comprise the NVQ and the setting of a mutually agreed programme for the completion of the NVQ.
As part of the induction session there will be a review of the candidates current level of underpinning knowledge and understanding with a view to ensuring that any gaps, as compared with the requirements of the NVQ standards, will be addressed during the course.

Assessment - Candidates will be required to produce evidence of their competence as compared with the standard and according to the timetable agreed at the time of induction.
An assessor will be allocated who will work on a one to one basis with the candidate to review the evidence and address any developmental needs identified. All this assessment will take place in the workplace.

Duration: A minimum of 4 months from induction to completion dependant upon the candidates availability and commitment. Average time to completion is 6 months.

Location & Date(s): The course will be delivered entirely at the candidates place of work and on dates and at times suitable to both the candidate and the employer.
