Housing NVQ Level 3

Requires candidates to obtain detailed skills and understanding within a relevant field, including team leadership and specialist technical skills. They must also demonstrate competence in:

• Communication
• Problem solving
• Applied teamwork.

Candidates must achieve 8 units, 5 mandatory and 3 optional.

Mandatory units:

• Process documents relating to housing services
• Develop and maintain open and honest relationships with customers and others
• Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety
• Manage yourself

Qualification details

To gain the qualification candidates must demonstrate that they are competent at their job. There is no pass or fail. If the candidate does not reach a suitable level of competence to achieve the qualification, then further training will be identified to ensure that they can demonstrate competency.

The candidate will be supported by an assessor and assessed in the work place. They must be directly observed by their assessor. Evidence collection methods can also include witness statements, case studies, professional discussions and questioning.
