Suitable for: NVQ L2: This course is suitable for candidates employed as teaching assistants or those new to the occupation who work under the direction of a teacher. NVQ L3: This course is for experienced teaching assistants working in a primary or secondary school and who now need to gain this formal qualification.

The NVQ L2 is a nationally recognised qualification designed to reflect the work of candidates who are employed as teaching assistants or those who may be new to the occupation and/or whose responsibilities at work are limited in scope.

The NVQ L3 is for experienced teaching assistants working in a primary or secondary school and who now need to gain this formal qualification. This qualification meets the new National Occupational standards for teaching assistants, and furthers career prospects and opens opportunities to a more diverse and responsible classroom role.
