NVQ Level 2 and 3 Teaching Assistant
The NVQ is a work-oriented qualification and is suitable for those who have current real work experience. It is open to candidates of any age, of either gender and there are no entry barriers on grounds of race, creed or previous academic attainment or learning.
To gain the full NVQ Level 2 in teaching assistants, a candidate must finish four mandatory units and three optional units.
Mandatory Units:
- Help with classroom resources and records
- Help with the care and support of pupils
- Provide support for learning activities
- Provide effective support for your colleagues
Duration and Cost
- 3-6 months flexible

To achieve this qualification, candidates must complete four mandatory units and six optional units..

- Establish and maintain relationships with individual pupils and groups

Assessment for Level 2 and 3:
Like all NVQs, this qualification is competence-based. This means that it is linked to a person's ability to competently perform a range of tasks connected with their work.
