Course Content:
As part of your course, you will be given guidance on; How to build a portfolio of evidence; Underpinning knowledge for the Core Units; The core modules are: Contribute to positive relationships; Help to keep children safe; Support children's development; Use support to develop own practice in children's care, learning and development; Prepare and maintain environments to meet children's need; Support children's play and learning. You will also be assessed in your work place on the practical element of the course.

This course will provide you with the background knowledge to gain your NVQ in Children's Care, Learning and Development at level 2. You will have to produce a folder of evidence for part of the qualification. Due to the nature of the course a current enhanced criminal record bureau check (CRB) is required.

Progression:
Successful students may apply to NVQ, BTEC National or CACHE qualification, all at level 3.
