NVQ LEVEL 2 DISTRIBUTION AND WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS
This qualification is ideal for those who carry out a range of activities within the distribution sector. To achieve the award candidates must complete a total of 8 units – 3 mandatory units and 5 optional units.

Mandatory Units

Candidates must achieve all of the following units:

E6 Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace
E12 Contribute to keeping the workplace secure
E13 Work effectively in own organisation

Optional Units

Candidates must achieve five of the following units:60

Group 1: Stock storage and order processing

B3 Receive goods and materials into storage
B5 Put goods and materials into storage
B6 Maintain the quality of goods in storage
B7 Dispatch goods and materials
B9 Assemble bulk orders for distribution
B10 Pick stock and make up orders
B11 Process orders for goods
B12 Process returned goods and materials
B14 Process donated goods for resale or recycling

Group 2: Promoting products to customers

C3 Help customers to choose products
C5 Provide information and advice to customers

Group 3: Customer services

D1 Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation
D1.1 Establish effective relationships with customers

Group 4: Organisational effectiveness

E7 Maintain the safety of high-risk goods and materials
E9 Maintain hygiene standards in handling and storing food products
