Course Content: This course covers all aspects of hairdressing, preparing you for progression in the industry. The hairdressing industry is one of the top 10 ten preferred careers and offers a range of opportunities, i.e. Working in hair a salon, self employed, working on cruise ships progression onto level 3 and level 4 programmes, a career in the fashion industry. Throughout the year, you will complete nine units, which include cutting and styling, colour techniques and promotional activities

Special Features: Throughout the course, students will participate in salon sessions where assessments take place in both practical work and theoretical knowledge. The course will also include demonstrations, hands on workshops on colouring and cutting techniques and promotional activities developed by The Francesco Hair Group. The course is unit based with written assignments and end exams with some of the modules. You will also be required to study key skills and cover the reception duties for 1 week.

Course Format: Assessment based on high practical emphasis. Work experience is compulsory and will take place for one week

Progression: Once you have completed Level 2 NVQ Hairdressing, you will then be qualified to progress onto advanced Level 3 in Hairdressing or Gents Barbering.
