Course Progression: Can lead to the C & G NVQ Level 3 in Instructing Physical Activity and Exercise where there is a greater focus on Personal Training requirements.

Careers Progression: Students can progress into the Fitness Industry as an assistant in a leisure Centre or a Fitness instructor in either private or public Gyms.

Course Description:
A 1 year competence based programme aimed at those planning to enter the 'Fitness Industry' with opportunity to develop skills in the workplace. Students will have to carry out work experience on a weekly basis to fulfil this qualification.

Unit 201: Anatomy and Physiology for exercise
Unit 202: Health, Safety and Welfare in a fitness environment
Unit 203: Principles of Exercise, Fitness and Health.
Unit 204: Know how to support clients who take part in Exercise and Physical Activity
Unit 205: Planning Gym Based Exercise
