The NVQ Level 2 is a work based qualification. This means that you will need to be employed as a plumber in order to achieve the NVQ Level 2. You may be self employed or working for a plumbing company. You will have to demonstrate competent performance in the workplace although you may attend college to "top-up" or practice elements of your trade. Assessment is mainly by practical.

About this course

Level 2 in Adult Literacy and Numeracy, or GCSE grades A-C in English, Maths and Science. To gain the NVQ level 2, you will have to demonstrate that you can carry out a broad range of plumbing skills in the workplace.
