The Course has a strong practical element with work placements playing a vital and compulsory part of this learning experience. It is a one-year course spread over five.

Course Content
The NVQ units include:·Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organsation·Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety·Help customers to choose and book travel services.·Identify and provide tourism related information and advice.
Qualifications within this programme also include Travel Geography and Communication. As part of the learning programme students will be required to participate in two days per week work experience in a retail Travel Agency.Successful candidates will be guranteed an interview with The Midcounties Co-operative Travel.
How will I be assessed?
A variety of assessment methods are used including building a portfolio of evidence from practical activities carried out within the work place, individual and group presentations, case studies, assisgnments, observation of work-based activities and work-based assignments.
What can I do next?
Related Level 3 travel & tourism courses or move directly into employment within the UK retail travel agency sector or related travel & tourism industry.
