About this course
Whilst there are no formal requirements, evidence of Level 2 ability in a relevant field is usually asked for. Candidates must be in an appropriate job role in order to be able to generate the required evidence.

NVQ Level 3 Advice and Guidance

The Qualification
It is a nationally recognised full Level 3 award accredited by OCR.
Candidates are required to undertake 3 mandatory units: enable clients to access the service, identify clients’ requirements, provide information to clients, evaluate and develop their own contribution to the service, and 3 optional units from a range of units including interacting with clients using telecommunications, assisting clients to plan a course of action, implementing referral procedures, supporting clients in other activities and working with groups.
The Programme
Candidates are required to attend 3 teaching / workshop sessions. All will receive tutorial support from a dedicated tutor / assessor as part of the programme.
Candidates are required to submit a portfolio of evidence and to be observed / assessed in interview performance.
Candidates will usually complete the programme within 6-9 months.
Progression
Many candidates progress onto the NVQ Level 4 Dip in Advice and Guidance, the NVQ Level 5 Learning, Development and Support Services or the Level 4 Dip Career Information and Advice
