Course programme

To achieve the award, candidates must complete a total of 8 units – four mandatory units and four optional units (from a choice of fourteen).

Mandatory units

 Enable clients to gain access to the service
 Identify the requirements of clients

 Evaluate and develop own contribution to the service

Optional units

 Interact with clients using telecommunications
 Assist clients to decide on a course of action
 Assist clients to plan the implementation of a course of action

 Negotiate on behalf of clients
 Implement referral procedures for clients
 Provide information materials for use in the service
 Maintain information materials for use in the service
 Identify individual learning needs
 Design training and development sessions
 Facilitate learning in groups through presentations and activities
 Facilitate individual learning through coaching
