About this course
You must be aged 19+ and be either employed or working on a voluntary basis in Early Years or Successfully completed NVQ level 2 in Early Years Studies or an equivalent. In order to enrol on this course you must be working at Level 2 in Literacy and Level 1 in numeracy and we will assess whether this is the right course for you through an informal interview and an initial assessment.

Course Content:
As part of your course, you will be given guidance on; How to build a portfolio of evidence; Underpinning knowledge for the 5 Core Units; 4 endorsement units as required. You will also be assessed in your work place on the practical element of the course.
This course will provide you with the background knowledge to gain your NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development. You will have to produce a folder of evidence for part of the qualification Due to the nature of the course a current enhanced criminal record bureau check (CRB) is required
Progression:
Successful students may choose to study a relevant level 4 qualification such as a Foundation Degree in Early Years. Others may further their employment.
