2. Course description This qualification is aimed at candidates who have progressed from level 2, or require further training. You will develop supervisory skills in the hospitality industry, principles of food safety, supervision and Gastronomy. You will also learn advanced skills and techniques in producing a variety of dishes. Assessments are carried out through assignment writing, practical activities, and short answer questions. You will also attend work experience in different catering establishments. All of the work takes place in our training kitchen where you will have the opportunity to prepare meals for sale in the Canary View Restaurant. Included in this qualification are online tests, coursework and practical assessment. It is designed to equip students with the skills you need for the working world.
