This two-year course provides the skills training and underpinning knowledge you need to become recognised as a bricklayer. The NVQ is made up of seven units. To achieve the qualification you will need to pass all seven units and be employed within the trade area. Units include health and safety, construction methods, erecting work platforms and wall building techniques.

How will I be assessed?
Unit based, proving competence in practical and theory work by means of portfolio supported with site evidence.
When you have achieved competence in all your units you will have to take a health and safety test.
