Course Description
This course is designed for those who have completed manicure at level 2. You will learn the 3 nail systems - Fibre glass, Gel & Acrylic. You will learn about sizing and blending nail tips as well as sculptured nails in acrylic and gel.You will be required to work on clients that are booked in with Beauty reception. As well as learning all the nail systems you will learn how to rebalance sculptured nails and nail art.

Entry Requirements
At least 4 GCSEs at Grade C, one of which must be English. Or Level 2 skills/craft qualification (eg NVQ 2 or relevant work experience).

• BT22 Enhance the appearance of natural nails using artificial nail systems
• BT23 Maintain, repair and enhance artificial nail services
• BT24 Plan, design and provide nail art services to clients
• BT31 Provide self tanning treatments

Duration: 1 year

Attendance Modes: Day

Assessment: During the course you will be continually assesed in an open salon environment on paying clients. You will be required to do theory in class and assignments which you may have to complete at home. You will produce a port folio which is compulsary.

Progression Routes: On completion of the course you will be fully qualified as a nail technician to be able to go out and work either as a mobile technician or in a salon.
