Occupational Health and Safety NVQ - Level 3

This competence based qualification is for learners working in the area of occupational health and safety. The qualification aims to provide recognition for practitioners who meet the national standards in their work. Key occupational areas include: Environmental Health Practitioner, Health and Safety Practitioner, Employer Placement Officer & Tutors/Assessors (of qualifications/units that require health and safety skills, knowledge and understanding under the QCF). Comprises of 5 mandatory units and a choice of optional units. Total credits required are 30. Suitable for: Suitable for learners who are working in the areas of occupational health and safety in a variety of occupational sectors - this qualification provides a recognised and nationally accredited qualification and demonstrates the competence of the individual. It is a work based route to achieve the necessary requirements to practice and demonstrate skills and knowledege. Highly suited for the 'appointed person', health and safety officer, site supervisors, training officer, employer engagement officer, assessor/tutor and HR workers to name but a few etc.
