The aim of this course is to make candidates aware of the health hazards associated with an office environment, the current legislation covering office work and safety management techniques.
Course Objectives
On completion of the course candidates will be aware of:
- The health and safety at work act 1974
- The management of health and safety at work
- The provision and use of work equipment
- The workplace health safety and welfare
- The display screen equipment
- The role of supervisors and managers within the office
- The employees role and responsibilities
- Ill health effects (occupational health problems)
- Information instruction and training
- Office hazards (electricity, substances, smoking, handling, slips trips falls, noise, stress)
- Fire safety (emergency procedures)
- First aid and accident reporting
- Sick Building Syndrome (SBS)
