This course is an additional qualification suitable for dental nurses who are required to provide oral health advice to patients under the direction of a dentist.
This course covers five units all aimed at giving you the skills needed to offer advice to patients about oral health. You will develop knowledge of oral health education and practical skills in relation to promoting it. You will cover topics like disease prevention, nutrition and diet and communication skills so you can put your new knowledge to good use.

Entry Requirements
You must have a professional qualification in dental technology, dental nursing, dental therapy, dental surgery or dental hygiene and must be registered with the General Dental Council.
Delivery and Assessment
You will be assessed by two observations in the workplace and through a written piece of work evidencing the activities you have performed in the surgery.
