Organic Vegetables of the Old Quarry: From potting mixes to harvesting
ORGANIC VEGETABLES OF THE OLD QUARRY: FROM POTTING MIXES TO HARVESTING

Our gardener Roger has been harvesting vegetables here at CAT for 30 years. Roger will show his special techniques for growing his famous tasty veg. Potting mixes will be investigated and hot beds explained. Learn about the varieties we use here at CAT, and why. Spend some time in the garden learning about the beneficial insects. Discover how Roger has managed to turn what was, at one time, a slate tip into a productive garden. Pot up some seeds, and take home some of Roger's seedlings for your own garden.

The course begins at 11am and finishes at 4pm, with a break for lunch at 1pm. Please bring weatherproof clothes and sturdy footwear.
