By the end of this course you will be able to use an oscilloscope to perform quick accurate diagnosis of complex electronic systems, understand where and how to best measure signals with the oscilloscope and how recognise the difference between good and poor oscilloscope patterns. Suitable for: Workshop technicians who are involved with vehicle diagnostics.
About this course
To gain maximum benefit from this course attendees should have an understanding of sensor and actuator operation and knowledge of basic electrical/electronic principles.

The course covers:
• How best to set-up an oscilloscope in order to measure system voltages
• Interpret simple and complex waveforms
• Setting triggers, using cursors and recording waveform 'movies'
• Diagnosing common sensor and actuator faults
• Analysing Component Relationships
• Performing effective ignition analysis
• Current Ramping (fuel pumps, ignition coils and injectors)
• Course suitable for both petrol and diesel engined vehicles
We encourage course participants to bring along their own hand held scopes so that you can learn on the equipment you will use when you return to work.

Booking Conditions.
All training places must be paid for at the time booking. Training places cannot be reserved without payment being made.
Cancellation policy.
Cancellation 8 weeks prior to training event - 75% refund. Cancellation between 8 and 4 weeks prior to training event - 50% refund. If a training place is cancelled within 4 weeks of the training taking place no refund will be due.
Please note: We run a waiting list scheme and it is possible that we will be able to transfer your place and refund your entire course fee should you have to cancel.
Payment.
We accept major credit cards over the telephone, or cheque or postal order. Your place is not guaranteed until your payment has cleared.
