This outstanding programme is designed to make learners employable at the end of the course and ready for a career in the outdoor industry.It is designed for those learners wanting to gain valuable practical experience in instructor training alongside gaining the relevant industry National Governing Body awards to improve personal skills and practical ability in a variety of outdoor and adventurous activites.

Course programme
There are no formal entry requirements However, all learners will demonstrate an outstanding work ethic and motivation throughout the course to progress to the work placement after Easter of the course.
All learners are required to be water confident and able to swim 50 meters in open water.
Relevant Senior Tutor and employer DBS checks will be undertaken to ensure that all learners are suitable to be working with young children and vulnerable adults; two successful character references will also be required.
Finally, in order to successfully undertake the outdoor provider work placement you will be required to be 18 years old by the end of the course.
There will be additional costs for short course registration and expeditions. A kit list will be sent out prior to enrolment.
