This course is for any one who has the responsibility for looking after children in a professional capacity, i.e., childminders, pre-school staff, au pairs etc. The course is accepted by OFSTED and approved by the Paediatric First Aid Association (PFAA)

Contents:

  • Assessing the casualty (all ages) & situation
  • The unconscious casualty all ages
  • Choking all ages
  • Resuscitation all ages
  • Shock (including bleeding, anaphylaxis, diabetes, sickle cell anaemia, Burns Fractures)
  • Head injuries including spinal and neck injuries
  • Dealing with foreign bodies
  • Management of poisoning
