About this course
No previous first aid knowledge is required. Delegates must be reasonably fit and able to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation of child/infant training manikins.

Course programme
This is the full 12 hour Paediatric First Aid course recognised as the required first aid training course to ensure compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage. The course is held over 2 days and there is a maximum of 12 delegates. Lunch and refreshments are included in the price of the course. CPR training is provided using Laerdal "Little Junior" and "Baby Anne" manikins, and all delegates learn basic life support for both infants and older children. CPR is taught in accordance with the very latest basic life support guidelines (November 2010) issued by the Resuscitation Council UK. There is plenty of practical work during the course (including using trainer "Epi-Pens"), which aims to give delagates confidence in dealing with a paediatric medical emergency
